The Introduction aka MBFWA

Yes as I've mentioned, I have been attending Australian Fashion Week at the Overseas Passenger Terminal on the glorious Sydney Harbour.

The jacket of all jackets and the holy grail of the fashion world. A structured Alexander Mcqueen jacket fit for a queen with its angelic lace appearance and regal femininity. It's number one on my wish list found from a recent window shopping experience online. Alexander Mcqueen may have passed, but the reins have been pulled with Sarah Burton designing a beautiful optimistic future for fans to indulge. I may not be the queen, but i'm sure this jacket would bring out the inner queen in all of us.

Australian Fashion Week

I have been blessed by the fashion gods and im so grateful. On Monday I will be attending many shows at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia, in Sydney. It's the first day of the collections shown on the runway and yep, I will be giving you daily updates!

Yes, it's finally arrived! As I signed for the package the excitement grew, and the anticipation to have it in my arms was almost over. Beautifully packaged in a luxurious black giftbox with a gold ribbon bow, it felt more like a gift than a parcel.

As I opened layer by layer, I untied the ribbon, opened the box, unwrapped the paper and opened the cloth bag, I filled with joy.

My new Coach bag was here, that I purchased 3 days ago. The soft touch of leather from the soft cow hide in classic black and silver hardware made this handbag's design effortlessly chic. Luckily, I joined Reebonz a few days prior to purchasing so I didn't miss out on this sale. Reebonz is the luxury retail space with multiple designer pieces. A laugh with the girls

Getting together with friends for a laugh in these colours looks like a rainbow of fashionable skittles. There is something about this image that brings a great sense of happiness and joy about the fashion circuit. With the deadlines and fast pace of the industry, there will always be a job well done somewhere and a celebration to be had. So, i guess that a fashion week after party and / or a laugh with the girls may be the end of a fashion week run, but is just the begining of long lasting friendships and giggles in rainbows of skittles.

My love of prints seems to arise frequently, yes i love prints. They are an artwork in itself of beautiful colour, proportion and design. Whether it be animal print, floral or geometric there is a exclusive uniqueness to enjoy. How could you look at these and not feel as though your day is now 10x brighter or well, at least more interesting than before. The clashing of colour may be chaotic to some, but these bring me pure enjoyment :)

A weekend getaway

It's Friday and the weekend oh is so close. A drive in a vintage car to a destination undecided. Scarf billowing with the wind as the refreshing breeze blows through the car windows. To have a picnic on a hill overlooking the rolling waves or to a music festival with some chilled out sounds and spine chilling vocals, sounds like a scene from a movie.
Rolled up jeans and sunglasses, a must for the weekend adventure.

Whether it be in a vintage car or not, my adventure is yet to be decided.

Sydney's feeling the chill

My alarm clock was going off this morning and as i roll over, i do not want to get out of the bed. There is a chill in the air. Autumn is here and with that comes great excitement. My wardrobe will start to shift to WINTER mode. I love the changing of seasons. New colour palettes and designs to swoon over.
As summer products rush into the northern hemisphere, the southern hemisphere or Downunder as my international friends would say, we are seeing coats and jumpers flock into our favourite stores.

Although upon searching one of my favourite online stores, I have found some truely beautifully designed pieces. Amazing draping and a structured jacket. Yes, I love it!
